Addy Pederson, 15, is a tenth grader from Homer, Alaska. Raised in Quinhagak, her family had recreational dog team that she grew up with. After moving to Homer, Addy took over the kennel at the age of 12 and worked to grow her racing team. During her first season of competitive mushing, she competed in 2023 Knik 100 (21st place), 2024 Willow Jr. 100 (8th place), and 2024 Jr. Iditarod (13th place). In addition to sled dogs, Addy also enjoys hunting, hiking, biking, and training the house dog. While not quite sure what the future holds after high school, she does know that she wants to continue mushing.
